I just worked at the CPS station. I learned how to import my classes, so that is ready to go. I want to use clickers in my class this year.

I also checked out the microphone and projector station. I really like the microphone option for talking in a classroom.
I also like the projector. In my math, I could use a students' homework paper, for example, & show other students how he/she solved the problem. This would save time recreating it on the board.

I am intrigued with using the document camera. I think using to display students work maybe a valuable tool for me. mk

The micro phone may be a great tool to help manage those large classes. mk

I'm really excited about Skype. I've used it before when living in foreign countries and I think it would be so cool to call one of my Spanish-speaking friends that live in Costa Rica or PerĂº and chat with them using current vocabulary.

What would be even cooler would be to get set up with a sister school in a Spanish-speaking country and allow the students to chat back and forth with students that are learning English. It would be like taking my students to meet thirty Peruvian students without leaving the classroom!!! :)

I use Gameshow Pro quite a bit, so I would definitely use the Slammers or Who's First!

The audio recorder I may try next week, as I am having a sub on Wed. I will have my notes on Blackboard for the sub, and may go ahead and record me talking through the notes, so that the sub can play the audio to go with the Blackboard notes. In testing the audio recorder I found that it didn't pick up sound too well if it is just laying down, so it would probably work better with the microphone and having the audio recorder set close to the microphone speaker.

I'm not sure yet how I would use the document camera in math class, just because I make so much use of our textbook online and the school pad.

I'm psyched about the Freeze button for the projector! I don't have to keep putting the lens cap over the projector to take attendance while the students are working on a warmup, or take re-take attendance the 10 times that students come into class today. YEAH!
